Era of the Spaniards

The year 2008 ended a 44-year trophy winning drought for the Spanish football team and marked the starting of an era which nobody thought would prevail this long.The two-time European champions and the world champions have conquered global football.


The juniors are not far behind either,in fact,the only area where the junior Spaniards are lagging is the mere fact that they are "juniors". The reason- Spain are currently the European champions at the U-19 and U-21 level as well.

Manchester United In Pole Position To Sign Thiago Alcantra, Will Match £15 Mil Release Clause

According to several newspapers in England, Manchester United have stolen a march on Bayern Munich and are now favorites to land Barcelona starlet Thiago Alcantra.


Alcantra, 22, has been on United's radar since a few years and have tried to pries him from Barcelona clutches before. However, it is believed that back then Thiago was prepared to fight his way into the Barca first team under the mentorship of idol Pep Guardiola. Lately though, the young Spaniard has grown disillusioned with the lack of opportunities in Catalunya under new manager Tito Vilanova.

Lionel Messi speaks out against tax evasion allegations



Earlier today, it was reported in the Spanish media that Messi and his father, Jorge Horacio, swindled up to 4 million euros in taxes from the sale of the Argentinian's image rights.

The allegations claimed that the Barcelona star evaded taxes by moving operations to companies based outside of Spain.
