Reports coming in from newspapers in the UK yesterday have suggested that Arsene Wenger may have pulled off a huge coup.
It is understood that Arsenal have triggered Fellaini's release clause - £22m for teams qualified for the Champions League or £24m for teams outside of the competition. If this is true, it means it will be left to Fellaini solely to agree on the move as Everton will have no say on the matter.
The lanky Belgian, with an Afro to distinguish him, has been a hit with the Everton faithful. He started off his career at Merseyside playing a deeper role in Central Midfield but had been shunted up front and used as a target man in the previous campaign.
