David Moyes will begin his Manchester United managerial career with virtually no time to bed in, after the Premier League fixture list for the 2013/14 season was announced earlier today.
Moyes, who's former club Everton were known to be slow starters, will face Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City in his opening five games.
United will kick start their Premier League campaign away from home against Capital One Cup winners Swansea City on August 17th, before welcoming Europa Cup winners Chelsea to Old Trafford the following weekend. Their final fixture in August will be against Liverpool at Anfield on August 31st.
September will offer no respite to the Red Devils either as they are scheduled to face bitter rivals Manchester City on the 21st at the Etihad stadium.
In the Ferguson era, United were famous for transforming into a formidable force in the business end of the season. With fans, colleagues, experts and for that matter all of football waiting to see Moyes on the Old Trafford touchline, the fiery Scot could find himself in the spotlight right away.
