The Curious case of Wayne Rooney.

Just when everyone was feeling dejected and doleful about the news that Sir Alex Ferguson has hung up his boots as the manager of Manchester United,Wayne Rooney's request to let him loose from the illustrious english club astonished one and all.

Wayne Rooney's transfer saga will be the talk-of-the-town until the prolific red devil  decides his new club in order to start afresh.

'To label Rooney anything other than a success at Old Trafford is to bypass a heavy chunk of evidence.His nine-year stint with Sir Alex was one to take notice of, as not every other player shows such determination and consistency as he did in the 250+ games he played wearing the red jersey.

And yet there were times when SAF thought his team is better off without the striker,as he was dropped quite a number of times from the team last season.Whether it was tactical or not,a player of Rooney's class and reputation can find it difficult to sit on the bench or leave the field in the midst of a battle.

Maybe he thinks he has stopped growing as a player.Maybe he feels more success awaits somewhere else.Maybe the process needs to start all over again.
